Community Guidelines
PocketPup brings people together around their dogs. Keep Global posts, friendships and private Doghouses useful, respectful and safe.
Share with care
Share relevant dog-care information and photos you have permission to use. Avoid including people’s private information in images, comments or public share cards. Do not post illegal material, sexual exploitation, threats, hateful content, graphic abuse, harassment or spam.
Report a concern
Use the report controls on shared content to tell us what happened, or contact contact@devicebytes.com. Reports are saved for review by authorized staff. We may remove content, restrict participation or suspend accounts. Reporting is not an emergency service; contact appropriate local services if someone or an animal is in immediate danger.
Choose your audience
Global posts are shared with signed-in PocketPup users. Friends posts are shared with accepted friends, and Doghouse posts stay with that Doghouse’s current members. Check the audience before publishing. Following someone only adds their Global posts to your Following feed. Routine logs and private memories are not automatically shared globally.
Control your connections
You can accept or decline friend requests, remove friends or followers, and follow or unfollow people. An account block limits social discovery and interactions in both directions and removes friendship and following connections. Unblocking does not restore them. You can also use Doghouse-specific blocking controls. Owners can remove caregivers, and caregivers can leave a Doghouse. Blocking does not transfer ownership or automatically revoke someone’s care access; review membership separately when needed.
How we moderate
We use text checks and review reported content. Uploaded images are not automatically scanned, and content is not guaranteed to be reviewed before other people see it. Reports are private to the reporter and authorized staff. We review reports and can remove harmful text or images. Contact contact@devicebytes.com to appeal a decision or follow up on a report.
